Her Excellency Receives Outstanding African Leadership Award.
(Addis Ababa, January 23, 2022) In a special event under the theme ‘Charting the course for a blue economy in Africa Creating our future today ‘Organized by 7th pan African humanitarian and investment summit Awards in Zanzibar, Tanzanian the FDRE Ministry of women and Social Affairs Minister her Excellency, Ergogie Testaye (PHD) was awarded the ‘Outstanding leadership award’ in recognition of the persistent and innovative efforts in nation building by creating a strong leadership and entrepreneurial space for socio-economic development through various consolidated programs and initiatives aimed at providing vital interventions for food security, mentoring of youth and women, empowerment and creation of opportunities in disadvantaged areas of her community, and by extension, building a prosperous, sustainable, regionally- integrated and globally competitive Africa.
Having different intervention on gender, youth and women throughout the country, Ethiopia has been recognized in African level for its Social development efforts and contribution to address Social challenges.
The Award was held on November 9, 2022 in Zanzibar, Tanzania and His Excellency Ambassador Shibiru Mamo, ambassador of Ethiopia to Tanzania has brought the award and handed over to Her Excellency and management members. H.E Ambassador Shibiru Mamo has explained the main criteria of the award for the management members and recommended to strengthen the job that the ministry is doing.
Ergogie, on her part, she explained the management member that this award is belongs to management and employees of the ministry and she thanked the Pan African Leadership Development Center for the recognition, on the behalf of the ministry and herself.
